MEC Common Entrance Exam Structure
The Medical Education Commission conducts a unified national entrance exam (MECEE) for all medical, dental, nursing, and allied health science undergraduate programs in Nepal. The exam consists of 200 Multiple Choice Questions testing Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, and Botany. A 0.25 negative mark penalty applies for every wrong answer.
Matching Process and College Allocation
After result publication, MEC opens the online Matching Process where eligible candidates rank their choices of medical colleges (such as IOM Maharajgunj, BPKIHS Dharan, PAHS Patan, KU School of Medical Sciences, and private medical colleges). Seat allotment notices are published strictly according to CEE merit ranks.
