A Modern Guide To Homoeopathy

A Modern Guide To Homoeopathy

Homeopathy’s roots emerge from the findings, teachings and writings of Dr. Samuel Hahnemann (1755-1843). Hahnemann graduated from medical school in 1779 and started his own medical practice. He soon began his first homoeopathic experiments in 1790, as a result of his disillusionment with such common medical practices of the day as purging, bloodletting, and the use of toxic chemicals. Dr S P Bakshi did his masters in English from Foreman Christan College Lahore in 1935. He subsequently joined the J&K State Forces and rose to be their Chief Education Officer. He retered from Govt Service in 1971 and became a qualified Homoeopathic Physician. He has been practicing for the past 40 years. He is a trained teacher of transcendental meditation and has written several books and collections of poetry. Homoeopathy is a very popular alternative system of medicine that follows a systems approach to healing and health. It is cheap, affordable and suffers from no harmful side or after effects. The author has put forward an interesting theory on why it works so well. It serves to cue the human auto immune system with the informational trigger needed to generate the right response. It there by enables us to heal ourselves. This is an excellent hand book on subject, useful for its lucid insights and explanations and will be of great use to practioners and lay persons alike.
