At Scolar Nepal, we collect information necessary to process your book orders and deliver them across Nepal. This includes your name, shipping address, contact phone number, and email address. If you register an account, we also store your account preferences and purchase history.
2. How We Use Your Data
Your personal data is strictly used to fulfill book orders, process deliveries to all 77 districts, issue order status updates via SMS/Email, and provide customer support. We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
3. Payment Security
We offer Cash on Delivery (COD) and digital payment integrations with authorized Nepalese payment gateways (eSewa, Khalti, bank transfers). Scolar does not store your credit card or sensitive banking credentials on our servers.
4. Data Protection & Cookies
We use essential session cookies to keep track of your shopping cart contents and login session. We implement standard encryption protocols (HTTPS/SSL) to safeguard your data during transmission.
5. Sharing With Third Parties
To fulfil your order we share the minimum necessary information — your name, delivery address, and phone number — with the courier partner assigned to your delivery, and your order amount with the payment gateway (eSewa, Khalti, or your bank) if you pay digitally. These partners are only permitted to use your data to complete that delivery or payment. Outside of fulfilling your order, complying with a legal request, or protecting Scolar's rights, we do not share, sell, or rent your personal information to any third party.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account and order information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet accounting, tax, and dispute-resolution obligations. You may request deletion of your account at any time, as described below, subject to records we are required to keep by law.
7. Your Rights

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law.
