Blazing Splendor The Memoirs Of Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche

Blazing Splendor: The Memoirs of Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche is an intimate, tale‑style autobiography in which one of the 20th century’s great Dzogchen and Mahamudra masters recounts his life from his 1920 birth in Eastern Tibet through exile and teaching in Nepal. Dictated toward the end of his life and compiled by Erik Pema Kunsang and Marcia Binder Schmidt, it weaves stories of his extraordinary family lineage (as great‑grandson of treasure‑revealer Chokgyur Lingpa), his training and visionary experiences, encounters with many realized masters, and vivid portraits of the “lost world” of Old Tibet’s monasteries and mountains before the Cultural Revolution.
