Bookworm

“The Bookworm” is a humorous, gently cautionary picture book about Max, a boy who desperately wants a pet, but whose parents say no to every idea—puppies chew, parrots screech and sharks have far too many teeth. When Max finally finds a worm and keeps it as a pet, it soon starts to grow spikes, breathe smoke and look suspiciously like a dragon, turning his simple wish into a magical, slightly chaotic adventure about being careful what you wish for.
