Chicken Soup For The Soul

The most popular series of inspirational stories, the Chicken Soup series, was launched with the publication of Chicken Soup For The Soul: 101 Stories To Open The Heart And Rekindle The Spirit. The book is a compilation of 101 motivational and inspiring essays, and short stories. Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen, the co-creators of the series, have collected stories of people who have fought against all odds, and overcome obstacles to succeed in life. The authors have brought these stories together to inspire readers and to encourage them to fight for survival and success even in the face of extremely difficult and heartbreaking situations. Chicken Soup For The Soul: 101 Stories To Open The Heart And Rekindle The Spirit contains stories about people who have been in trying circumstances or worse, and have still managed to overcome the odds. This book aims to motivate those readers who are facing such pain themselves. Just like chicken soup has a healing effect on the body of the ill, similarly, the authors believe that these stories will have a similar healing effect on the soul of the readers. And, this is how the series got its name. Contemporary, and yet timeless, the book has been written for people of all ages, from all over the world. First published in 1993, this book was followed by more than 200 titles in the series, which have been translated into as many as 54 languages. A New York Times bestseller, this book sold over 100 million copies in 41 languages.
