Field Guide Birds Of India

This field guide book on Indian birds with proper colour photographs and identification key pointers, make this book significantly different from others. These pointers have been given for confusing or similar looking species thereby one can easily identify the species by looking at the characters highlighted. A detail distribution map is also given for each of the species to understand the distribution pattern along with their character, habitats, migration status and IUCN status (except the vagrants). Thus we have given 1331 species, under 26 orders, 113families, and 484 genera. Among them we have considered 1227 species as regular one as they are known to occur within the Indian territories on a regular basis, and 104 occasionally recorded species as Vagrants.
