Little Owls Egg

Little Owl’s Egg is a gentle picture book about Little Owl, who is upset to learn that Mummy has laid a new egg with a baby owl inside—because he thinks he is already her baby and she doesn’t need another. To ease his worries, Mummy playfully imagines the egg might hold a penguin, crocodile, or even an elephant, and together they explore what it would be like to welcome such different siblings. Through this game, Little Owl gradually realises that a baby owl might be the best sibling of all and that Mummy’s love won’t run out, offering families a warm way to talk about new babies, jealousy, and reassurance.
