Mahendra Shah: The Triumphs and Tragedies of a Changemaker

Mahendra Shah’s life is one of triumph and tragedy, defiance and determination—set in the high stakes game of global manipulation and economic control. A child of Indian heritage, he grew up in Kenya, received his PhD from Cambridge University in the UK, and went on to become a major multi-disciplinary player on the world socioeconomic and environmental stage. From the United Nations to the World Bank, Mahendra has been wildly victorious in those arenas where leadership rose above personal gain, greed, and political elitism to create profound transformation. But he has also faced bigotry, false accusations, and been unilaterally frustrated by the all-too-often lack of will to create real change. His insightful genius casts a penetrating light on the challenges that both humanity and Nature face not with the usual dogmatic rhetoric, but with an elegant, albeit determined and laser-like focus on responsibility.
