One Day

One Day

'I can imagine you at forty,' she said, with malice in her voice. 'I can picture it right now.' He smiled without opening his eyes. 'Go on then.' 15th July 1988. Emma and Dexter meet for the first time on the night of their graduation. Tomorrow they must go their separate ways. So where will they be on this one day next year? And the year after that? And every year that follows? Twenty years, two people, ONE DAY. From the author of the massive bestseller STARTER FOR TEN. About The Author: About the Author David Nicholls was born in 1966 in Eastleigh, Hampshire. Nicholls studied English Literature and Drama at the University of Bristol. When he graduated he won a scholarship to study at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York. David appeared in plays at the Battersea Arts Centre, the Finborough, West Yorkshire Playhouse, Birmingham Rep, and had a three year stint at the Royal National Theatre, understudying and playing small parts.
