Sandalwoods Story

“Sandalwood’s Story” by Shobha Tharoor Srinivasan is a gentle, imaginative picture book set in a bustling plant nursery on the day of a mega tree and plant sale. As saplings like Coconut and Peepal feel small and insecure beside a boastful Banyan, wise Sandalwood steps in to share lessons about true worth, humility, and quiet strength. Through this engaging narrative, children are introduced to Indian flora, the ecological importance of trees, and themes of self‑esteem, kindness, and interconnectedness in nature.
