The Decision The Story Of Kumar A Young Gurung Boy

''As I read through the story I felt as if I were in village where it took place. The characters were realistic and conversations were familiar to the villages of Nepal. The romance of Kumar and Manju; and the characters Surya, a political personality, are particularly well portrayed. The story reveals the inner ambitions of the students in the villages as well as the values held by their parents who want them to live in the villages only. Kumar's life in Kathmandu reflects the hardships and struggles that a student faces in the city. Kumar’s final decision is praiseworthy, showing courage and a sense of the needs of the village. Joanne Stephenson has written a very sympathetic story and I hope that more people will learn to make good decisions like Kumar"
