The Holy Science

The Holy Science originally titled Kaivalya Darsanam is a concise spiritual and theological work written by Swami Sri Yukteswar Giri in 1894. It compares teachings from the Bible and Hindu scriptures, especially the Upanishads, to argue for an essential unity among religions and a shared path toward spiritual realization. The book explores the nature of consciousness, the goal of human life, the stages of spiritual development, karma, and the yugas, or cyclical ages in Hindu cosmology. Its interpretation of religious texts and cosmic cycles reflects Sri Yukteswar’s spiritual worldview rather than a scientific consensus.
