The Snail And The Whale

The Snail and the Whale is a heartwarming rhyming picture-book adventure about a tiny snail with a big desire to see the world. Tired of staying on the same black rock, the little snail hitches a ride on the tail of a huge humpback whale. Together, they travel across oceans, past icebergs, volcanoes, sharks, penguins, and distant lands. When the whale becomes stranded in a bay, the snail proves that size does not determine courage or importance. With a clever plan and help from local schoolchildren, the tiny traveller saves her enormous friend. Written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler, this bestselling modern classic celebrates curiosity, friendship, kindness, bravery, and the power of even the smallest voice. It is ideal for reading aloud with children aged 3–7.
