Travails of Nepals Water Resources A Century of Misadventure & Mal Development

Travails of Nepal’s Water Resources offers a critical and in-depth analysis of Nepal’s water resource policies and bilateral agreements over the past century. Examining treaties such as Sharda, Koshi, Gandaki, and Mahakali, along with major hydropower projects like Arun-3, Upper Karnali, and West Seti, the book evaluates their economic, legal, and developmental impacts on Nepal. Drawing on financial, managerial, and international legal perspectives, it highlights both the benefits and long-term costs of these agreements, while also addressing future transboundary projects and energy infrastructure plans.
