Understanding Christian Ministry

The call to Christian ministry is one of the highest vocations and can, in fact, be considered more than a vocation, but it is also one of the most challenging ones. A minister's life and ministry can have a great impact on people's life. This makes it exciting but also very frightening because, on the other side, a minister's hypocrisy or fall can have a destructive effect on many lives. Moreover, stress, burnout, and depression are not uncommon among ministers. A failure to understand the basics of Christian ministry, such as what it is and what it entails, is probably one of the main reasons for such hazards. On the other hand, when understood properly and carries out under God's guidance and the power of the Holy Spirit, the Christian ministry also brings enormous joy. Hence, understanding ministry and having the right philosophy of it is instrumental for a fruitful ministry. This book, thus, attempts to look at the fundamental issues of Christian ministry and the Christian minister.
