Yogi Philosophy And Oriental Occultism

Yogi Philosophy And Oriental Occultism

YOGI PHILOSOPHY AND ORIENTAL OCCULTISM One of the most influential thinkers of this early New Age philosophy in this book, affords the reader a clear vision of the Spirit and how to achieve the awakened and conscious soul. The Yogic Philosophy teaches that the as Spirit is the divine part of man - the bit of God - material in him - this union eventually will result in what is known as Union with God - that is the bringing of the individual soul into conscious touch and union with the centre of all life. William Walker Atkinson was an attorney, merchant, publisher, and author, as well as an occultist and an American pioneer of the New Thought movement. He is the author of the pseudonymous works attributed to Theron Q. Dumont and Yogi Ramacharaka. He wrote an estimated 100 books, all in the last 30 years of his life. His works have remained in print more or less continuously since 1900. He had become interested in Hinduism. Atkinson was a prolific writer, and his many books achieved wide circulation among New Thought devotees and occult practitioners.
