याम्बुनेर [Yambunera]

याम्बुनेर (Yambunera) by Bina Theeng is a collection of powerful narratives that critically examine Kathmandu (Yambu), not just as a city, but as a symbol of systemic power, discrimination, and alienation. It sheds light on the lived experiences of marginalized communities, whose identities, languages, and cultures have been suppressed by dominant societal and political structures. This work gives voice to those often viewed as outsiders, laborers, and 'uncivilized' by the ruling class, challenging the established narrative and presenting a compelling account from the periphery. Why You Should Read?
