What are blob shapes?

Blobs are soft, irregular organic shapes that became the signature of modern web design - you see them behind hero sections on startup sites, as avatar masks, and as decorative accents floating beside headings. They soften the rigid grid of a page, add colour without hard edges, and guide the eye toward your call-to-action. Every major landing-page framework ships blob examples because they work.

Why SVG beats PNG for blobs

An SVG is a set of mathematical curves, not pixels. It weighs a few hundred bytes instead of hundreds of kilobytes, scales to any screen from a budget phone to a 4K monitor without blurring, can be recoloured by editing two hex codes, and animates smoothly with CSS. For decorative shapes there is essentially no reason to ever use a raster image.

How this generator works

Each shape starts from a seed number feeding a deterministic random generator. The tool places anchor points evenly around a circle, jitters their distance from the centre based on your irregularity setting, then joins them with Catmull-Rom-derived cubic Bézier curves for that perfectly smooth organic outline. Same seed plus same settings always produces the identical blob - so you can note the seed and reproduce a shape later.

Tuning the controls

Points control complexity: three to five gives bold minimal blobs, eight-plus yields wavy cloud-like forms. Irregularity sets how far anchors stray from the circle - zero makes a perfect circle, high values make dramatic amoebas. The two colour stops build a linear gradient whose angle you control, and opacity lets blobs layer over each other or photos without dominating.

Using blobs in real projects

Drop the downloaded file into your project folder and reference it like any image, or paste the code inline into HTML/Svelte/Vue to style it with CSS - inline SVGs can be animated, recoloured on hover, and inherit CSS variables. Common recipes: a large low-opacity blob behind a hero heading, two overlapping contrasting blobs in a corner, or a blob as a clip-path mask for team photos.

Free for any use

The generated artwork is yours - no attribution, no watermark, commercial use included. Generation happens entirely in your browser; nothing is uploaded anywhere.

What is an SVG blob generator, and how does this free Nepal tool work?

An SVG blob generator creates smooth, organic gradient shapes you can use as backgrounds and decorations. Scolar’s generator is free and browser-only: tweak a few sliders and copy crisp SVG code. No sign-up, no watermark, nothing uploaded.

Why it is free, with no sign-up and unlimited use

All maths run on your device, so there is no server storing your shapes and no account to create. That keeps the tool 100% free, adds no watermark, asks for no email, and lets you generate unlimited blobs.

How to create a blob, step by step

  • Hit Randomize or type a seed - every seed produces its own unique shape.
  • Tune points, irregularity, size and the two gradient colours.
  • Download the SVG or copy the code straight into your project.

Free design assets for Nepal’s creators

Many Nepali students and small studios cannot afford paid illustration packs. Because the output is public-domain-style and tiny in size, it loads fast even on slower connections - ideal for college fest posters, startup landing pages and personal blogs across Nepal.

“A Nepali creator should not pay for shapes. Generate a blob, copy the SVG — free.”

How it works

1

Hit Randomize or type a seed - every seed produces its own unique shape.

2

Tune points, irregularity, size and the two gradient colours.

3

Download the SVG or copy the code straight into your project.

Why use this tool?

  • Same seed + same settings always reproduces the exact same blob.

  • Output is a few hundred bytes - crisp at every zoom level and screen density.

  • Generated locally in your browser; free for personal and commercial use.

Frequently asked questions

Are the generated blobs free to use commercially?

Yes - output is public-domain-style generated art with no attribution required and no watermark.

Can I reproduce the same blob again?

Yes. Blobs are deterministic from their seed number - keep the seed and settings and press Generate to recreate it exactly.

How do I change the colours later?

Edit the stop-color values in the SVG code, or paste the SVG inline into your HTML and override fills with CSS.

Why does my blob look pixelated in some tools?

It should not - SVG is resolution-independent. Pixelation usually means the file was converted to PNG at small size; use the SVG directly.

Can I animate these blobs?

Yes - inline SVGs animate smoothly with CSS transforms, a classic effect being a slow rotate or morph on hero backgrounds.
