Aiden Aslin John Sweeney

Aiden Aslin and John Sweeney are British citizens whose harrowing testimony of captivity is recorded in Putin's Prisoner. Aslin, a Royal Marine and Ukrainian volunteer, was captured in 2022 while fighting for Ukraine and held by Russian authorities before release; Sweeney completed the account of that ordeal.

The book provides a chilling first-hand account of interrogation, propaganda trials and the psychological strain of prolonged captivity. It stands as eyewitness testimony to the human cost of the war in Ukraine and to the resilience of those who endured it.
