Alberto Villoldo PhD

Alberto Villoldo PhD is the American medical anthropologist and author, founder of the Four Winds Society, known to a worldwide readership for books on shamanic practice and energy medicine. The Shaman's Dream Oracle draws on the tradition of the Andean healers to offer a practical divinatory system of images and counsel, grounded in his decades of training and fieldwork.

Villoldo's background in clinical and cognitive psychology lends his teachings a systematic, teachable structure. His oracles and books have become standard tools for the contemporary shamanic school, connecting the Amazon and Andes to modern seekers of health and self-possession.
