Alex Ferguson

Sir Alex Ferguson is a Scottish football manager and former player, among the greatest figures in football history. As manager of Manchester United from 1986 to 2013 he won 38 trophies including 13 Premier League titles and two European Cups, and his autobiography and leadership books such as Leading have sold in the millions.

Shaped in Glasgow's tough shipbuilding culture, Ferguson began as a ferocious striker and was manager at East Stirlingshire, St Mirren and Aberdeen, where he overthrew the Old Firm, before his quarter century at Old Trafford. His writings on discipline, motivational psychology and team-building made him a desired speaker for some of the world's biggest companies.
