Alex Michaelides
Alex Michaelides
Alex Michaelides is a British-Cypriot novelist and screenwriter whose psychological thrillers have become international phenomena. His debut The Silent Patient and the follow-up The Maidens, as well as the later novel The Fury, all won massive global readerships with their twist-laden, filmically paced plots.
Michaelides studied English literature at Cambridge and the MA screenwriting at the American Film Institute, working in screenwriting before turning to novels. His books are loved for their elegant, morally complicated cases, unreliable narrators and Greek-set atmospheric menace; his first novel has been adapted into a major film by the director of Bound.
