Alex Soojung-Kim Pang is an American scholar and author who studies technology, work and their unintended futures. His book Work Less, Do More (published under the same roof as Rest) argues that deliberate rest, not constant output, is the engine of the greatest creativity — and shows how to organize a life and company around recovery cycles.

A visiting researcher in Silicon Valley after Stanford, Pang serves as program director at the Silicon Valley research organization 4S, studying the future of work and technology. Blending history, neuroscience and workplace ethnography, his books make a persuasive case against the high-value-god of productivity.
