Alfred Huang

Alfred Huang is a scholar of Chinese philosophy and medicine who has devoted much of his career to the Book of Changes (the I Ching). His widely used translation, The Complete I Ching, presents the full classical text of the Zhouyi, with commentaries and a clarity prized by practitioners and students alike.

Drawing on his training in Chinese medicine and Taoism, and on a lifetime of teaching, Huang presents the ancient divination system as a living philosophy of change and balance. His edition is among the most respected English renderings of the text the modern world still consults.
