Alice Oseman

Alice Oseman is a British author and illustrator whose graphic novels captured a generation of young readers. Heartstopper, a tender seven-volume romance between teenage boys, based partly on her own webcomic, became a global phenomenon and was adapted into an Emmy-winning Netflix series in 2022.

Oseman began writing at sixteen and published her first novel Solitaire in 2014 while at Durham University. Her work — which also includes I Was Born for This and other contemporary YA titles — is known for real teen voices, queer joy and quiet courage, and she writes, draws and partially produces the celebrated screen version of her books.
