Alice Schroeder

Alice Schroeder is an American financial journalist and former securities analyst who wrote the definitive biography of Warren Buffett: The Snowball. Published in 2008 after thousands of hours of access, interviews and archival research, it remains the standard account of the investor's life.

A managing director at Morgan Stanley and a CPA, Schroeder was chosen by Buffett as the only authorised biographer. Her books and articles bring analytical rigour to biography, and The Snowball remains one of the first texts every value-investing student is handed.
