Allison Stark Draper

Allison Stark Draper is an American author of history and biography titles for young readers. Her Holocaust Biographies series introduces a school-age audience to the lives of Anne Frank, Elie Wiesel and other witnesses of the Holocaust, combining chronological narrative with accessible explanation.

Draper's educational non-fiction is used in middle-school history and humanities classes, where plain trustworthy prose is at a premium. Her books aim to make dark historical material manageable and meaningful for children without losing seriousness.
