Ami Ganatra

Ami Ganatra is an Indian author, attorney and public speaker who retells India's two great epics with the rigor of a storyteller-lawyer. Her books Mahabharata Unravelled, Ramayana Unravelled and Krishna Unravelled — based on her hugely popular podcast — present the original Sanskrit texts minus caste, political and devotional filters, examining everybody-motivated moral ambiguity.

Ganatra practices law in Mumbai when not lecturing on the epics. Her method is deliberately forensic: to read the primary sources closely and let the characters be complex. Her Unravelled series has sold hundreds of thousands of copies and made her one of the most influential popular expositors of the epics writing today.
