Amrita Tripathi

Amrita Tripathi is an Indian journalist and author who reports on mental health, parenting and contemporary society. She was co-editor, with Dr Soumitra Pathare, of the anthologies Life, Interrupted and Young Mental Health, collections that bring panels of experts and affected voices together to destigmatise emotional distress in India.

Tripathi has held senior editorial roles in Indian media and writes on the intersections of gender, culture and wellbeing. Her projects aim to give the public usable knowledge about mental health in accessible, vernacular-adjacent English, and she has been one of the few prominent Indian media voices to make the subject mainstream.
