Andrew Harvey
Andrew Harvey
Andrew Harvey is a British-born author, poet and translator of mystical literature, and a teacher of sacred activism. His volumes, including The Teachings of the Hindu Mystics and a landmark edition of Rumi, collected the insights and voices of India's great saints — from Ramana Maharshi to Sri Ramakrishna — for a modern Western audience.
A former Cambridge academic who turned to Eastern mysticism, Harvey has written more than forty books on Rumi, the sacred feminine and the "divine feminine," and co-founded the global movement for "sacred activism." He is known for fierce spiritual autobiography (A Journey in Ladakh, The Way of Passion) and for insisting that inner realization must issue in worldly service.
