Andrew McMillan
Andrew McMillan
Andrew McMillan is a British poet and critic who has been central to the revitalisation of queer poetry. He edited and introduced 100 Queer Poems, a landmark anthology spanning centuries and languages that was lauded as a defining collection of queer writing in English.
McMillan's own verse — the Costa- and T.S. Eliot Prize-shortlisted physical, white-bed drama of physical, Ceremonial, pandemonium and physical — is praised for its tenderness and honesty, winning him the Forward Prize for Best First Collection in 2015. He lectures in creative writing and is among the most visible younger poets in Britain.
