Andrew Miller

Andrew Miller is an American computer scientist and author, an editor of the landmark technical book Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency Technologies. The work, based on the ground-breaking course at Princeton University, is the standard rigorous introduction to how Bitcoin works under the hood — hashes, wallets, consensus, and the economics of decentralised ledgers.

Miller, a professor at UIUC, researches distributed systems, privacy and cryptography. Co-leading one of the first serious university Bitcoin curricula, he has been a principal architect of the "Zero cash" and blockchain security work that now underpins the field's technical education.
