Andrzej Sapkowski
Andrzej Sapkowski is a Polish fantasy writer, creator of The Witcher saga, one of the most popular fantasy series ever published. Beginning as a polish short-story writer and winner of the Polish Fantasy Society awards, he built Geralt of Rivia's morally grey world, and his books — collected in English as The Witcher Collection — have sold tens of millions of copies and spawned video games, comics and the hit Netflix series.
Sapkowski studied economics and worked in trade before fame. His prose mixes grimacyclic low fantasy, folklore and dark humour, and his invention was so complete that it shaped an entire generation of fans of genre literature and games worldwide.
