Andy Griffiths

Andy Griffiths is an Australian children's author, one of the most popular writers for young readers in the world. With illustrator Terry Denton he created the lunatic Treehouse series — The 104-Storey Treehouse, The 117-Storey Treehouse and beyond — riotous, word-and-picture comic novels that have sold more than ten million copies and been translated around the globe.

Griffiths's tales mix Mr. Gum-style absurdity for the happily literate: gross jokes, digressions, and a nonstop, deeply consoling energy. He has received many Australian book awards and the Dromkeen Medal, and his books are a global phenomenon for children who "don't like reading."
