Ani Choying Drolma

Ani Choying Drolma is a Nepali Buddhist nun, musician and activist, one of the most celebrated Tibetan Buddhist chanters in the world. In her memoir फूलको आँखामा (Phoolko Aankhaama) she tells of a difficult childhood and an escape into monastic life that led to a global singing career and the founding of the Nitartha Institute of sacred music education.

Known internationally as "the singing nun," Drolma has toured the world, recorded with major Western musicians, and directs her collaboration with the AHF of Nepal, funding women's education and medical care. Her memoir blends spirituality, celebrity and a fierce commitment to the women and children of the Himalaya.
