CSS Text

Common text-styling properties:

CSS
p {
  text-align: center;        /* left | right | center | justify */
  text-decoration: underline; /* none | underline | line-through */
  text-transform: uppercase;  /* none | uppercase | lowercase | capitalize */
  letter-spacing: 0.5px;
  line-height: 1.6;
  white-space: nowrap; /* prevents text from wrapping */
  text-indent: 24px;          /* indents the first line of a block */
}

line-height deserves special attention: a unitless value like 1.6 scales with the element's own font size (recommended), while a value with units (24px) is fixed regardless of font size. Comfortable body text is usually line-height: 1.5 to 1.7.

CSS
a {
  text-decoration: none; /* the classic "remove link underline" */
}
