What is a column-to-SQL-IN tool, and how does this free Nepal tool work?

A column-to-SQL-IN converter takes a pasted list of values and wraps them into a SQL IN (...) clause you can drop into a query. Scolar’s tool runs in your browser: paste rows from Excel or a report, set the quote style, and copy the clause. No sign-up, no watermark, nothing uploaded.

Why it is free, with no sign-up and unlimited use

Formatting happens on your device, so pasted data stays local and no account is needed. That keeps the tool 100% free with unlimited conversions and no watermark.

How to use this tool, step by step

  • Paste your column of values, one per line or comma separated.
  • Choose the quote style and delimiter for your database.
  • Copy the generated IN (...) clause straight into your query.

SQL IN clauses in Nepali workflows

Bank analysts in Kathmandu filtering transaction IDs, college students learning SQL, and startup devs cleaning imported lists all need quick IN clauses. Doing it offline avoids pasting sensitive IDs into unknown web forms.

“A Nepali analyst should not pay for an app just to turn a column into a SQL IN clause. Paste, format, copy — free.”

How it works

1

Copy your column from Excel, Google Sheets or any CSV file.

2

Paste into the left box - commas and tabs work too, not just new lines.

3

Pick quoting rules if needed, then copy the generated IN clause straight into your query.

Why use this tool?

  • Single quotes inside values are escaped by doubling, so O'Brien never breaks your query.

  • Duplicates and blank spreadsheet rows are removed by default.

  • Trimming kills the invisible trailing spaces spreadsheets love to add.

  • A number mode outputs unquoted digits for integer columns.

Frequently asked questions

How do I use this with Excel or Google Sheets?

Select the cells, copy, paste into the box. One value per line is all the tool needs; tabs and commas also split values.

What about values containing quotes?

They are escaped SQL-style by doubling: O'Brien becomes O''Brien wrapped in quotes, which every major database accepts.

Should numbers stay unquoted?

Pick the 123 mode for numeric columns - comparisons stay clean without implicit casts.

Is there a limit on how many rows I can paste?

No hard limit - tens of thousands of rows generate instantly since all processing happens locally.
