Frequently asked questions

What is "show money"?

Show money is the funds you must prove you (or your sponsor) hold in a bank account to get a student visa - usually tuition for the first year plus a fixed amount of living cost.

Why does the UK ask for 9 months?

UK Student visa rules require living-cost funds for up to 9 months of study, at the London or outside-London monthly rate, even if your course is shorter.

Is the NPR amount exact?

No - the exchange rate is editable so you can match the day’s rate. The figure is a planning estimate, not the amount a embassy will accept.

Does this include dependants?

Not by default. Canada and the UK add extra per dependent; add that to the tuition/living inputs to estimate it.
