How are arrays compared?

Array order matters, exactly like in JSON semantics. Reordering elements shows up as a removal plus an addition on the affected lines.

Is there a size limit?

The exact diff algorithm handles thousands of lines comfortably; beyond roughly 3,000 lines per side it falls back to showing both documents fully marked instead of computing the minimal edit script.
