Card design

From blank to printed card in two minutes

Fill in your company and contact details, pick one of the fifteen ready-made designs, choose a colour or gradient scheme and watch the card redraw itself with every keystroke. When it looks right, download the PNG and send it straight to your print shop - no designer, no software, no back-and-forth over WhatsApp screenshots.

Print-ready by default

Every card exports at the international standard 3.5 × 2 inches at 300 DPI - the exact size Nepali presses print. Keep colours simple (as these templates do) and your printed card will match what you see closely. For perfect registration ask the shop to print on 300 gsm art card with matte or glossy lamination; most Kathmandu shops charge a few hundred rupees for a box of 100.

What makes a good business card

Less is more: a clear company name, one phone number people actually answer, one email, and your website. Skip the fax number and five social handles. Your name slightly larger than other text, your position underneath, and a tagline only if it genuinely says something. The monogram system means even a brand-new business without a logo looks established.

Typing Nepali on the card

All fields accept Devanagari, so नेपाली addresses and slogans work out of the box. If your existing text is in Preeti or Kantipur legacy fonts, run it through the free Unicode to Preeti Converter on this site first - pasting legacy-font text directly produces boxes and broken glyphs.

Your data stays yours

The entire generator runs inside your browser using the HTML canvas - your logo, phone numbers and client lists are never uploaded to any server. Refresh the page and everything clears. That makes it safe to prepare cards for clients too: design on their behalf, download, hand over the file.

Made for businesses & students in Nepal

From New Road shops to internship interviews, here is where a free, private business-card maker saves a trip to the designer or a paid app.

New Road & Asan shopkeepers

Small traders across Kathmandu, Pokhara and Birgunj can make a real card in minutes instead of paying a designer. Hand the PNG to any press on Khetrapath or New Road for a few hundred rupees per 100.

Freelancers & designers

Photographers, makeup artists and tuition teachers in Nepal finally have a card that looks as polished as their work — pick a gradient scheme, drop in a logo, done.

Internship & job seekers

Students applying for internships at banks and IT firms look far more prepared with a clean card. Build it on your phone the night before the interview.

Real estate & insurance agents

Agents who meet ten strangers a day need a card with one clear number. Pick “Modern Bar” or “Ribbon”, type your NTC/Ncell number, and you are set.

NGOs & community groups

Field workers and ward offices can carry a simple card with their name, post and contact so villagers know who to reach — no printed letterhead required.

Event & wedding planners

Planners in Lalitpur and Bhaktapur hand out cards at every event; regenerate a fresh one per client with their monogram and details in seconds.

What is a business card maker, and how does this free Nepal tool work?

A business card maker turns your contact details into a print-ready card design without hiring a designer or buying software. Scolar’s Business Card Maker is a free, browser-based tool for anyone in Nepal: you type your company, name and contact information, optionally add a logo, pick from fifteen designs and a range of colour or gradient schemes, and the card redraws live — then you download a 300 DPI PNG or JPG for any print shop. No sign-up, no watermark, nothing uploaded.

Why it is free, with no sign-up and unlimited downloads

The card is painted inside your own browser using the HTML canvas, so there is no server to store your logo or client lists and no account to create. That is why the tool stays 100% free, adds no watermark, asks for no email, and lets you download unlimited cards for every business or side project.

How to make a card, step by step

  • Fill in your company, your name, position and the contact details you actually use — phone, email, website and address.
  • Upload a logo if you have one; otherwise the tool draws a neat monogram from your company initials.
  • Click through the fifteen designs and the colour or gradient schemes and watch the card rebuild live.
  • Download the PNG (best for print) or JPG and send it straight to any press in Nepal.

Printing in Nepal: sizes, DPI and paper

Every card exports at the international standard 3.5 × 2 inches at 300 DPI (1050 × 600 px), the exact size Nepali presses print. For best results ask the shop for 300 gsm art card with matte or glossy lamination; most Kathmandu and Pokhara presses charge a few hundred rupees for a box of 100. PNG is the safest format because it is lossless, while JPG works when the shop prefers smaller files.

Nepali text and privacy

All fields accept Devanagari, so नेपाली addresses and slogans work out of the box — just convert any Preeti or Kantipur legacy-font text to Unicode first with our converter. Because everything runs locally, your logo, phone numbers and client details never leave your device, which makes it safe to prepare cards on someone else’s behalf and hand over only the downloaded file.

“A Nepali small business should not pay a designer or buy software just to hand someone a card. Type your details, pick a design, print — free, in your browser.”

Cards made by Nepalis, free

I used to pay Rs. 500 just for a basic card design. Now I make my own with the shop logo and gave the PNG to the press myself — saved the money and got it same day.

The gradient templates look like something I would have paid a designer for. I typed my Instagram and number, downloaded JPG and printed 200 for my exhibition.

Before my internship interview I made a card on my phone in five minutes. The recruiter actually commented that it looked professional — and it was free.
