From spreadsheet to story in seconds

Numbers in a grid hide their message; the same numbers on a chart announce it. Monthly sales trends, district-wise student counts, expense breakdowns - paste any CSV with a label column and one or more value columns, and this tool draws it instantly. No account, no watermark, and the PNG you download is yours to use anywhere.

Choosing the right chart type

Bar charts compare categories side by side - perfect for sales by month or marks by subject. Line charts show change over time when order matters, such as daily temperature or share prices. Pie and doughnut charts show parts of a whole like an expense budget; keep them to five or six slices, because more becomes unreadable.

Picking axes and series

Choose one column for the X axis (usually names, months, or dates) and tick one or more numeric columns as series. With multiple series on a bar or line chart you can compare sales versus expenses at a glance. Pie and doughnut charts use the first selected series only, since they represent a single total split into slices.

Data preparation tips

Keep values plain: strip currency symbols and thousands separators so "Rs. 1,200" becomes 1200 before plotting - the tool tolerates commas inside numbers but not letters. The first 60 rows are plotted to keep charts readable; aggregate longer data first, e.g. yearly totals instead of daily entries. Non-numeric cells count as zero rather than breaking the chart.

Downloading and sharing

The Download PNG button exports exactly what you see at full resolution - ready for reports, presentations, or social posts. Because rendering happens on your own device, confidential figures like payroll or revenue never pass through any server, unlike typical online chart services that ask you to upload spreadsheets.

Built on Chart.js

Under the hood this tool uses Chart.js, the open-source charting library trusted by millions of projects. That means crisp responsive rendering, sensible tooltips on hover, and accessible colours - the same quality you would get from a paid dashboard, applied to your own CSV files.

What is a CSV-to-chart tool, and how does this free Nepal tool work?

A CSV-to-chart tool reads your comma-separated data and draws a chart you can read at a glance. Scolar’s tool runs in your browser: upload or paste a CSV, pick a chart type, and see it render. No sign-up, no watermark, nothing uploaded.

Why it is free, with no sign-up and unlimited use

Chart rendering happens on your device, so your data never leaves the browser and no account is needed. That keeps it 100% free with unlimited charts and no watermark.

How to use this tool, step by step

  • Upload or paste your CSV file with a header row.
  • Pick the chart type and the columns to plot.
  • View and download the chart; the data stays on your device.

Charts for Nepali reports

Small-business owners in Kathmandu plotting monthly sales, teachers showing class results, and students presenting project data all need quick charts. Doing it offline keeps business and academic data private.

“A Nepali shop owner should not buy software just to chart monthly sales. Upload CSV, see the chart — free.”

How it works

1

Drop a CSV file or paste rows - headers are read automatically.

2

Pick the X axis column and tick one or more value columns.

3

Switch between bar, line, pie and doughnut, then download the chart as PNG.

Why use this tool?

  • Multiple series compare columns like sales vs expenses on one chart.

  • Hovers show exact values via Chart.js tooltips - great for presentations.

  • Rendering is local: confidential revenue or payroll data stays on your device.

Frequently asked questions

Is my CSV uploaded when I make a chart?

No. Parsing and rendering happen entirely in your browser - your data never leaves your device.

Which chart type should I use?

Bar for comparing categories, line for trends over time, pie or doughnut for parts of a whole with few slices.

Can I plot two columns at once?

Yes - tick multiple numeric columns to draw several series on bar and line charts. Pie and doughnut use the first selected column only.

How do I save my chart?

Click Download PNG to export the current chart as an image file you can insert into documents or share directly.

Why are some bars zero?

Cells that are empty or contain text instead of numbers are plotted as zero. Clean the column to plain numbers for accurate charts.
